Synopsis
Mental Health in the Community realistically explores the place of serious mental illnesses within England's 21st Century society; breaking through the old discriminatory myths and fallacies to show you the truth of illnesses such as Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia that the British mass media doesn't want you to see. Mental Health in the Community stands to prove that those diagnosed with serious mental illnesses are just the same as everyone else within our community, by showcasing a variety of peoples' work within the Arts and Media and even showing one Priest's successful career within his local Parish. This truly is a project that, given time and audience, can stand to break through discrimination against mental health problems and bring England's communities closer together.

Mental Health in the Community was proudly supported by the mental health charity Rethink and the current anti-discrimination campaign Time To Change

Directed, Produced and Edited by Haverhill local Mark Allard, who is also diagnosed with Bipolar Rapid-Cycling Disorder and a proud activist for Mental Health Rights.
